Hi! I am Teri.

Hi, I’m Teri, the photographer behind The Trekking Mama. I head to the outdoors for adventure any chance I get. My aim is to share our family’s adventures as well as my own
solo experiences. I focus on bucket list hikes + backpacking trips both big + small. Inspiring other women to get out with and without their kids. Being a solo women in the outdoors can be intimidating at first but with the right mindset, empowering. In documenting my adventures I like to capture both the beauty of adventure as well as the less picturesque realities of contending with the wilderness.

The last time I was here it looked so different, there was a fraction of water. It was overwhelming how beautiful yesterday was here. 📍Boulder River Trail 🥾8.1 miles (+/-=2 miles to the first waterfall) ⛰️1,384 ft of gain for entire trail There are two gorgeous waterfalls and an amazing place to hang out by the river. Snow covers the highest tops but roads are still accessible.

I think it's my favorite. Because I LOVE hiking in snow but finding places that are safe all winter long is tough. Shoulder season makes it well, easier.
